About Our Products
Our cultured foods, including sauerkrauts, kim chi and pickles, are raw, lacto-fermented, no vinegar, whey or sugar added and 100% MOFGA Certified Organic. Most ingredients are grown right on our farm or sourced from nearby farms whenever possible and mixed with Celtic sea salt which is rich in trace minerals. They can be enjoyed by adults and children alike as a restorative tonic or eaten with any meal. We've found them to be great snacks for young children!
Throughout the fermentation process, amino acids and lactic acid are produced and together create the unique tangy, effervescent flavor of traditionally preserved cultured foods. Besides great taste, the biggest benefit from fermented foods may be in its “healthy bacteria” called lactobacilli, found in fermented foods like kimchi, miso and yogurt. The process of Lacto-fermentation prevents harmful bacteria from growing while nurturing “good” bacteria. This good bacteria helps with digestion, helps to stop or even prevent yeast overgrowth and contributes to friendly intestinal flora. Lacto-fermented vegetables can help restore and maintain intestinal order; they are rich in vitamins, minerals and enzymes that nourish our bodies and boost immunity.
